The Second Phase of the ICT Education Project in Moldova Has Been Launched!

With the financial support of the U.S. Department of State Office, we continue improving ICT education in Moldova - a country where the ICT sector brings new opportunities for young people.

First half-year of the programme Digital Talents for Moldova – Slovakia for talents

In the summer of 2021, we launched a work mobility programme for ICT students and graduates between Slovakia and Moldova called "Digital Talents for Moldova - Slovakia for Talents" (DIGI TALENTS).

Programme Digi Talents has now been extended to Ukraine

The Digi Talents labour mobility programme focuses on developing new skills of young ICT professionals from Ukraine and Moldova in TOP companies in Slovakia. The programme also aims to address the shortage of skilled labour in Slovakia.

MIGRATION AS AN OPPORTUNITY

The demographic outlook of Slovakia is one of the worst in the EU. According to UN and Eurostat forecasts, the number of inhabitants in our country may fall below four million during this century and Slovakia will also have one of the oldest European populations.

Tools to mitigate this situation are limited and will certainly need to include measures to support return of expatriates and immigration.

It is therefore our responsibility to start a responsible discussion about migration, whether of Slovak nationals or of foreigners, focussing on opportunities and not only on threats as it has until now.
